The VIII class students can not be promoted to IX class without studying . As Haryana Board decided to restart Board Exam for 8th class from 2018 Session.
As per the sources, a meeting of officials was held under the presidency of finance Commissioner and Principal Secretary of education department. All the D.E.O (District Education Officer) have been informed in this meeting that Haryana Board will given Middle Class exam in the next coming academic session. Under the provision, the department has started preparations for Eighth Class Exam.
Right to Education (RTE) was started in 2006 by the U.P.A Govt. Under this rule, there was a provision that there should be right to education for every child. For dropped out students, it was a provission that they could take admission in next class according to their age under RTE 2006.
Now the new BJP govt. feels that the spirit of competition among students has almost ended due to the provision of RTE, 2006. Even the some officials of Education Department and Haryana Board have secretary affirmed that the decision to restart VIII th class exam has been taken.
In 2010, H.B.S.E took decision not to take 8th class board exam. For the last seven sessions, exams have been organizing at school level only. There was a negative effect on students due to this . Now the students are not worried and serious about their exams and they are being promoted to IX class without studying.
